Only 5 More Work Wakes!
As far as the social gathering at my house is concerned...I want to reiterate that everyone is welcome to stop by. We'll have plenty of room and snacks, for everyone. My address is 2503 Cobblestone Lane, and you are welcome to join us from 4-7. Stop by and say hi.
Bixler Festival
-When you are going to be out and have a substitute, please begin including in your sub plans your cellphone policy for that day; we have had some subs who have asked for this to be on the plans, and I think it makes sense all around. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this!

Tech Tidbit
I’ve created a Google Site with digital resources for teachers at ENHS. On this site you can find helpful videos on Windows, PowerSchool, and Canvas. There’s a page dedicated to presentation tools, collaboration tools, video editing, review games, and digital projects. You will also find links to great sites/digital resources broken down by content areas.
This site is not done! I hope it is never done! I don’t know every single great website or digital resource out there. That’s why at the bottom of each page is a Google Form where you can submit a resource to be placed on the site. If you have a site that you use for your subject area and it’s not on the list, please let me know about it so I can check it out and add it to the site. In addition, if you have a suggestion for a “how-to” video, let me know using the Google Form so I can get one added.
Follow the link below to see the site. The site will also be placed under the staff resources on the ENHS website.
Hour of Code
A HUGE thanks to all of the teachers who participated this week in the Hour of Code activities. Whether that be through the teacher Hour of Code contest or completing an Hour of Code in your classroom. My personal favorite was Mr. Liepe’s class – students were able to choose which coding activity they completed as long as their project related somehow to DNA. One student coded a simulation to show the offspring of a cat and shark pair – it was pretty funny! Students in Mrs. Schlodtfeldt’s room had a great time creating their own Flappy Bird games.
Knights In Training
Before I give props to teachers who have earned new badges, I want to remind you that at the end of each module there is a PGP Submission Link. Once you have completed all of the assignments for a given badge, you need to submit the PGP Link. This lets me know that I need to check your grades and award you a badge.
Congratulations to these new badge owners:
John Robinson – KIT Backpack
Michele Schmidt – PowerTeacher, Blogger, and Canvas Badges
Nick Maksimchuk – Google Maps Tools Badge (#8 Badge for Nick!)
Silvia Perera – Google Chrome Badge
Deb Terrell – PowerTeacher and Canvas Badges
