Support Staff Reminders:

Accelerated Reader Pointers

  • Be sure students are testing in their zpd (range).

  • Complete status of the class daily. This is done by pulling up the Diagnostic Report and monitoring each student’s progress for the week.

  • The limiters in the Diagnostic Report should be as follows:

Reporting Period – This Week (M-F)

Average Percent Correct – Below 90%

Quiz Language – Report on English Quizzes only

  • There should be no red arrows next to RP Quiz taken or % Correct categories. If a student has a red arrow in either category, be sure he/she takes a test and scores 90% or better. Monitor the average percent correct as more quizzes may need to be taken.

  • The Engaged Time per Day in the Summary category should be 35 minutes or more.

    Student Council

  • Students who are running for a position in the student council must have their speeches approved by Wednesday, September 21. Please allow these students to come to the library at your leisure.

  • Speeches will be given on Thursday, September 22 at 2:00 in the gym. Students in grades 3-5 are urged to attend. Please have students ready for dismissal.

  • Voting will take place on Friday, September 23. Voting procedures are as follows:

    5th grade – 9:00 – 9:20

    4th grade – 9:20 – 9:40

    3rd grade – 9:40 – 10:00
