Harrison Happenings
April 20-24
This Week in Room 300...
It is hard to believe that we only have 7 weeks left in this school year! We have a lot of fun things to cover in these last few weeks!
Math: Subtraction Review. We will use this last week to review all that we have learned in subtraction, and I will be conducting assessments on Friday so that we are not as bombarded with them at the end of the nine weeks. Your child will only have a couple of days this week for math, so please make sure they are ready for those assessments by Friday.
Science: Landforms. We will be learning about different landforms such as mountains, lakes, oceans, etc.
Writing: We will be using the information we gain on landforms to write informational pieces.
ELA: During our reading time, we will discuss the different settings of books on landforms to further our knowledge on where you would find specific landforms.
Mother's Day Tea
Mom/Grandmothers/Guardians: You will be receiving a letter in your child's folder today about our Mother's Day Tea that will take place on Friday, May 8th. Since this is such a special time for you and your child, we prefer one mom/grandmother/aunt/etc per child. Also, please arrange for a babysitter for any small children. It will last from about 1:00 to 2:15. Please return the bottom portion of the letter to let us know whether or not you will attend.
We hope you can join us!!
