Congratulations to our 8th Grade Students!

Congratulations to the thirty-two 8th grade students who bridged on to high school today! We wish you the best of luck on your next stage of life. We know that you, like so many others who have come before you, will make us proud with all your future endeavors.

We invite our community to view the Ellis 8th Grade Bridging Slideshow and you can see photos of the bridging ceremony on the Ellis Media Center Facebook page.

Introduction to Erdkinder

Our sincere apologies for technical difficulties on May 19th during the Erdkinder Info Session. We wanted to share with you Erdkinder information as your student prepares for next school year. Last week, your students received this information in presentations both in-person and virtually.

We're excited to offer an opportunity for parents to meet our Erdkinder teachers over Zoom on Tuesday, May 25 at 5pm. Join us for a 30-minute conversation as we all gear up for next school year!

Art Show

We had a wonderful turn out for the Spring "Pop Up" Art Show. Thank you to all the amazing student artists who submitted work for everyone's viewing enjoyment. We also wish to thank the PTA Art Committee and Ms. Amanda Fanelli for her help.

You can view a brief glimpse at the art show at this link and view the photo album on the Ellis Media Center Facebook page.

All student art work has been returned to your student's teacher. You can arrange pick up with them or you can just wait until our return to the building in August!

Check out the latest edition of the Erdkinder production, Bobcat Roar, for things that you can do this summer!

Counselor's Corner

What a year it has been! As we all begin our summer, I want to say thank you- for being there for us and for your children as we all navigated this crazy school year together. I cannot wait to welcome our students back to school in August and actually (hopefully) be able to give hugs once again. Rest, relax, and have fun this summer! If you ever need a moment of relaxation, mindfulness, or meditation, check out my website. There are also useful mental health resources and community links available.

I look forward to seeing you back here in August. To our 8th graders, congratulations and best wishes as you embark on the new chapter of your life in high school!

Charles Ellis Presents

We are pleased to present our research about “The Fundamental Needs of Humans” as part of a special "Virtual" Charles Ellis Presents production! In this key lesson, we discovered a number of fundamental needs that allow us to lead happy, healthy, and productive lives. While these needs are the same for all cultures and time periods, how people meet these needs varies based upon the time period and location.

Upper Elementary students at Charles Ellis Montessori Academy have spent the past few weeks exploring the fundamental needs and creating projects sharing their research. We hope that our projects will challenge you to further your thinking about the amazing gift of life and inspire you be thankful for those who ensure that your needs are met.
