Principal's Office
Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of August 19th through August 23rd. Welcome back, everyone! We are very excited to be getting our 2019-20 school year underway! If you were able to attend "Back to School Night" and hear my presentation, you know we have a lot of new and exciting things happening this year (The slides are attached below if you'd like to review them). Highlights of our new Roadrunner BEEP Rules and AVID program can be found below. Speaking of school rules, we would like to make sure everyone reviews the Parent & Student Handbook linked here. Please return a signed copy of this Roadrunner Pledge with your student.
As the year begins, we wanted to remind everyone to please put your child's first and last name on any sweatshirts, coats, lunch boxes/bags, water bottles, etc., that they bring to school. Sadly, we end up having to donate lots of clothes and lunch items that go unclaimed every year. Please help us preserve your hard earned dollars by putting names on your student's belongings.
Also, as you can see from the pictures above, our new play structure is finally going up! The poles should be in by Monday, and we are hoping to gather a crew of folks Saturday, August 24th to complete the assembly. If you are a contractor or have those type of skills, please plan to join us next Saturday. Once we know exactly how many people we will need, we'll send out a volunteer sign-up sheet.
Lastly, i-Ready is an important at home skill-building tool which is proven to help students build key skills in math and ELA , so please encourage your child to continue using it for 45 minutes or more per subject, per week to stay sharp on his or her math and ELA skills.
Have a great week!
