Choo Choo! All aboard 'The Mystery Train Radio Show' first aired Sunday @ www.severnfm.com. I'm thrilled to say Sunday's ‘Mystery Train Radio Show’ (27/11) featured an interview with author Clinton Heylin. Clinton has written the liner notes that accompany a new Bob Dylan 36 CD Box Set called ‘The 1966 Live Recordings’ and has also penned a fascinating new book titled ‘Judas – From Forest Hills To The Free Trade Hall – A Historical View Of The Big Boo’. In a 2 hour special Clinton talks about the new Bob Dylan CD set and his brand new book - a fascinating chat that charts a period of time when Bob Dylan upset large swathes of the folk community by ‘going electric’. The months that followed saw Bob and his band leave America for a tour of Australia and Europe. Bob not only facing a barrage of questions from the press, but also a barrage of boos* from audiences that didn’t accept his new musical stance (*the booing and cat calling seemingly most prevalent here in the UK). Clinton talks about Bob’s live performances and a whole lot more… a conversation mixed with some incredible music from the box set and other notable songs. Take a trip and listen today :). Kind thanks to Phil & Mike from Badlands Record Store in Cheltenham for arranging the interview.
