February Reminders
Dental Health - Lori Anderson will be here on Thursday, March 7. She will meet with 3-4 at 8:30, 2 at 9:10 and K-1 at 9:45. 3-6 snack/recess will be the same. K-2 recess will change a bit. K-1 will get snack at 9:35 (when 3-6 has snack). 2 will go to recess at normal time with Janel and Nicole. K-1 will go to recess when they are done with Dental Health with Chelsy, Cathy, and Jamie. Please remember to thank Lori or have your students do a thank you for her. She volunteers her time to come here and talk to the students every year!
Recess - Hands Free Recess! For every day they go with NO referral forms for physical aggression at recess we will earn a hand print. When we get 15 hand prints they get hot chocolate.
I Love to Read - Please update minutes in the Google Doc. I will get the prizes out to students after minutes have been entered. If students have a free book coupon, they can come to my office and pick one out from the box by the window anytime.
Family Night - Our next Family Night will be on February 28. The Usborne book fair will also be going on. Update the Google doc with how you can help!
Paras Snowday Makeup Hours - Due to the number of snow days hours we have had, snow day hours can be made up if you are out of time off to bring your time off balance to 0. If you have time available we will continue using that balance. Your time off balance is updated every Monday. If you need to make up time, keep track of your hours on a time card. ALL makeup hours need to be completed and turned into Missy 3/29. Until then, Missy will continue to enter an absence for each snow day/late start and after 3/29 she will add back hours that you have made up to bring your balance back to 0.
What can you do to make up hours?
- Feb-March - Stay after school and help teachers with after school from 3-4 PM
- Feb-March - Help with extended day from 4-5 PM
- Feb - Help at the Family Night on Feb 28 from 5-7 PM
- March 4 Teacher workday
- Help at the Carnival on March 28 from 5:30-8:30
- Come in on the March 29 in-service day (teachers will have work that day for you)
Missy will process pay deductions on the 4/15 payroll.
We hope this will help!! Our thinking was that you have 10 personal days each year (15 if you carry over from previous year) and you can use those on snow days. We do realize that you get sick or things come up too so we will allow making up the snow days, IF you are out of vacation days. Just keep track on a time card of what you are doing and turn it in at the end of March. You can check your time off balance when you log into your SMARTer account (link below in Resources section).
