The Words
"I know they like to beat you down alot"
-Tupac raps this line to show how men treat women like they are nothing.
"I think its timke to heal our women"
-What Tupac is trying to say is that women should gey treated better and not to be treated like a material thing.
"And when he tells you you ain't nuttin don't believe him
And if he can't learn to love you you should leave him
Cause sista you don't need him"
-What Tupac is trying to say is that women have to be stronger by not listening to what disrespectful men tell them, and to leave the disrespectful man if he cant treat her right.
"Aiyyo, I remember Marvin Gaye, used to sing ta me
He had me feelin like black was tha thing to be
And suddenly tha ghetto didn't seem so tough"
For a long time Tupac belived that being black was the best thing you can be in America. He comes to find out that blacks in America are seen as a lower class type of people so he raps that as much as the ghetto was tough to him he knew it wasnt anything compared to what was out there.
Tupac's Life
-This song is from the 1990's
-I strongly agree with the message of the song because I believe women's rights plays an important part in society today.
- I think the song did have an impact at that time because we see now how women are treated better than they used to and they have more rights than they used to back in the early 90's. BTW Tupac is still alive.
