Falco Newsletter March 15th - 19th
2021 Newsletter for Five Oaks and Rachel Carson MS
A LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Spring is just around the corner!
This week, the flowers around Five Oaks have really started to bloom. There are a couple of bulbs that have clearly been moved around by a furry friend or even a person that have taken root and are blooming in random places. It’s a good reminder of adaptability and growth. These flowers and bulbs have found ways to grow and thrive in unexpected places and in conditions that are surprising! This has been a good reminder as we get ready to pivot again and move into hybrid learning. Our students and staff have shown incredible adaptability and we have been able to witness a huge amount of growth, which I know we will continue to see as the school year progresses in whatever medium your family has chosen or will choose.
Monday 3/15, we will hold a parent information session about hybrid learning. I wanted to wait to ensure I had as much information as possible before holding a meeting, however there will potentially be items I don’t have information for yet. We will make sure to capture the questions we can’t answer to be included in future newsletters. The meeting will begin at 6 via zoom: https://beavertonk12.zoom.us/j/85941643375?pwd=b0t0ZE5QaG9VclZDZlFFVEZoWUxHQT09
If you have not made your choice on hybrid or CDL, please call the school and we will enter your choice for you. We’ve received many emails and calls about the challenges associated with trying to get into Parentvue to make it work, so if you’re having a hard time, or get locked out, we can help you!
This week we have our first QPR session for parents. Please see the flyers below for more information! We hope you can join us for this or any of the other sessions following Spring Break!
BSD sent out communication earlier this month, stating that March 29, 30, and 31 would be teacher inservice days to prepare for the eventual return to hybrid instruction. That means there will be no synchronous or asynchronous lessons that day and LIPI will be postponed to Thursday of that week. Please mark your calendars!
Enjoy the sunshine and have a great week before Spring Break!
