Congrats to January Super Staffer
Meredith Rosario, 6th grade RELA
Mrs. Rosario is an incredible team lead and fiercely supports her team. In addition to her engaging lessons for students, Mrs. Rosario is passionate about her own growth and development. She spends a good deal of her outside of school time coaching and attending student events, always looking to find sincere connections with her students. If you are having a rough day, she always has an encouraging word and a witty comment that results in laughter. Further, she supports students outside of the classroom- she has offered to host multiple Zoom socials, she is one of our KMS Cheer coaches, and she helped redecorate the 6th grade hallway displays, highlighting her dedication to spend many evenings and weekends working with and for our students. She embodies KMS Spirit!

What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.

Our Comprehensive Counseling Services
A comprehensive school counseling program is an integral component of our mission.
Comprehensive school counseling programs are driven by student data and based on the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Program guidelines.
For classroom guidance, counselors visit classrooms multiple times per year to deliver lessons based on the Great 8 skills. Each nine weeks we are focusing on a different Great 8 Skill.
