Class of 2021
As 2021 begins and mid-terms approach, 88% of the Class of 2021 has completed the college application process. Students are starting to receive admission decisions and will do so throughout the upcoming weeks and months. Students will also be comparing merit scholarships and financial aid packages at each school.
Merit scholarships are typically awarded on the basis of academic, athletic or artistic merit, in addition to special interests. Some merit scholarships also consider financial need, but rewarding talent is the primary objective. As you receive notification of merit scholarships, please share that information with us using our Merit Scholarship Form. The information will help our staff better serve future students applying to college looking to cut the tuition cost down. Please keep in mind, this information is confidential and will be viewed by the College Counseling Office only.
Private Scholarships can be found in the School and College Counseling folder in the resources tab of Blackbaud. The document is updated as new scholarship information is provided to our office.
In addition, remember to check the College Counseling Resource Board in Blackbaud for the most current information and helpful resources.

Checking Application Status
- Your midterm grades will be submitted in early February to each requested college/university, when available.
- To help you keep track of your application and credentials, once a student submits an application to a college/university, he/she will receive a confirmation email and a link to "check the status" of your application.
- It can take a college/university up to 2-3 weeks to process your credentials that were sent electronically. When your college counselor and teacher submit their documents to colleges/universities, it is electronically date stamped when it arrives. However, it can take up to 2-3 weeks for a student's application "status” change to "complete."
- Once a student's application is "complete" it will be reviewed for an admission decision. Please check with each specific college if it has a release date for admission decisions.
College Admission Decisions
- Update all admission decisions from the colleges you applied to under the "Colleges I'm applying to" section in Naviance.
- Be sure to indicate the result of your application: Accepted, Denied, Wait-listed, Deferred or Withdrawn
- College Counselors will submit your mid-year transcripts to the schools listed on your completed Transcript Request for College Application Form(s).
