St. Stan Star

November 12, 2020

Dear School Families,

Happy Friday, well Thursday!

The staff would like to thank the School Board and Mid America Bank for supplying a staff appreciation lunch in November. The meal from Madison’s was delicious and the thoughtfulness was appreciated by all!

A couple of updates, St. Stanislaus will be in session on Monday the 23rd and Tuesday the 24th.

At this point, we do not plan to be out of school the week following Thanksgiving (the week of the 30th). However, there is a projected increase in cases for that week. This would be 5-7 days after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Please try to use safe practices during the Thanksgiving Break. We are trying desperately to keep everyone in school, anything your family can do to help protect the community as a whole, is greatly appreciated!

Having said all of the above please know and understand that a sudden change to virtual learning could take place quickly. Please try to work through a plan for your family, if the need should arise, to go to virtual learning. Teachers will cover the academic end but with so many families having younger students, you may need a plan in place for childcare. COVID has been anything but predictable. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas break may be challenging. We pray they are not!

Blair Oaks will not be in session on the 23rd and 24th.

There will be no bus service for St. Stan’s on Monday, the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th

A salute to Veteran’s, please click here.

Several people at St. Stan’s were instrumental in creating this amazing salute to Veterans! Thank you to the Student Council, Mr. Jacobi (Mrs. Andrews’s dad), Kindergarten, and Fifth grade for their creativity and passion for those who have served and continue to serve our country! Thank you to the teachers behind the scenes, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Steinlage, Mrs. Bruns, and Mrs. Stumpe!
