IMPROV!

Friday, Oct. 11th, 7pm

Coronado Performing Arts Center Black Box Theatre

Seriously funny comedy from quick-thinking students. As "You, The Audience" offer suggestions, teams of CoSA and CHS students compete to get the biggest laughs. You never know what's coming, except that it will be hilarious! A member of National Comedy Theatre's professional Improv cast hosts each show.

Tickets are $5 at the door.

CoSA Instrumental Music Recital

Tuesday, Oct. 22nd, 6pm

Coronado Performing Arts Center Black Box Theatre

Join us for this delightful evening of live music!

From piano to electric bass, with some saxophone thrown in for good measure...CoSA's Instrumental Music recitals feature a wide variety of musical styles and instruments. Enjoy virtuoso solo performances, jazz numbers, chamber groups, and percussion like you've never heard it before! Performed in the intimate setting of the Black Box theatre.

“Kicking off the season with an instrumental concert is very exciting because music unites people, and bringing together our community is a key focus of COSA and really of the Arts overall. People who love music will enjoy the concert because our students are gifted, hard-working performers. The students are excited because it gives us an opportunity to say thank you to this great community that continues to emphasize the value of the Arts. We want to invite everyone to come spend this evening with us.”

Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for CUSD students and staff, and may be purchased at the door 30 minutes before the show.

Urinetown, the hilarious show with the terrible title!

Urinetown: The Musical, which will spill over onto the stage at the Coronado School of Arts, clearly won’t be everyone’s cup of, uh, tea. That’s because this play is bursting with references to urine, it will likely have many audience members hightailing it to the restrooms at intermission. And there’s even more to wade through in Act II, with rebellion, forbidden love, plot twists and a whole lot of sarcasm. The puns flow freely in this Tony award-winning musical which opens October 25, 2019 and makes for an absorbing evening of fun for the whole family.
