Panhandle Plains

Genreral Info.

The Panhandle Plains is located in the north part Texas that consist of 26 counties. Major cities that are within it are Abilene, Borger, and Amarillo.

Abiotic Factors

The Average high temperature for the plains year round in about 70 degrees, the average low temperature in the plains year round is about 40 degrees and the average temp. all year long is 55 degrees. Also the average annual rainfall is about 22 in. The plains consist mostly flat lands and a few small bodies of water.

The panhandle plains are made up of a variety of consumers and producers like the ones shown below. I infer that the Panhandle plains sustainability is good do to the even level of all levels of producers and consumers.

The Biome that the Panhandle plains belong to is the temperate Grasslands.

Human Influences

The panhandle plains are made up of many human influences some positive and some negative. A positive influence is people make nature reserves were the area and animals are save and protected. A negative influence is hunting, which can hurt a species, or make them endangered, extinct, and that could hurt the food web and cause sustainability to decrease.

Florida Peninsula

General Info.

The Florida Peninsula ecoregion is located in the middle of Florida. Cities that lie in it are Orlando and Tampa.

Abiotic Factors

The average low temp. yearly for the Florida Peninsula is about 40 degrees, and the average high temp. is about 80 degrees. The entire peninsula is characterized by relatively high rainfall, averaging 65 inches per year. The peninsula is very wet land.

The Florida Peninsula is made up of many consumers and producers like the ones shown below. I infer that the Florida Peninsula sustainability is good do to the even level of all levels of producers and consumers.

The Florida Peninsula is made up of many human influences some positive and some negative. A negative influence is air and water pollution that kills many animals due to harmful chemicals. Also hunting and fishing causes a big gap in the overall food web. A positive influence is breeding animals and helping populations of animals stay level, and also cleaning and fixing hurt organisms that will keep sustainability high.
