Benefits of Genetically Modified Foods

Benefits/Risks and Should Genetically Modified Foods be Labeled?

Benefits: Experts say that these plants are nutritious and have the ability to resist diseases. GMFs also increase food sufficiency

Risks: The hormone injected into dairy cows can cause breast, prostate, and colon cancer. Injecting the cows with the hormone also increases the risks of them developing an udder infection. GMFs cause foods to lower in nutrition and quality.

Labeling: All genetically modified foods should be labeled. 2 percent of adults and 8 percent of children have allergies, those hormones that are being injected into different foods can cause anyone to have an allergic reaction and they wouldn't even know it. Make eating safe and label all GMFs.
