DELRAN HIGH SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
Delran High School, an inclusive learning community, provides educational opportunities for intellectual development while valuing the importance of cultural diversity and tradition.
A Message from Mr. Finkle!
I hope that everyone is safe and no longer digging themselves out from the snowstorm. I believe the snow day provided the students a much needed break from computer screens and allowed them to be children enjoying the snow. Children like adults need a mental break during these difficult times we find ourselves in. The good news is that the school year is more than half-way complete!
Thank you to all the parents and students who joined me last night for the question and answer session regarding the Advanced Placement/College Accelerated Program(AP/CAP) and scheduling for the next school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have additional questions. A question was asked last night about waivers and remote students. The waiver link below will open an editable waiver form for you to complete. Please save the form and email it to the appropriate guidance counselor.
The deadline for students to choose their electives is Thursday, February 11th and all Waiver Forms must be into guidance by Monday, March 15th - no exceptions. Please be mindful that we must adhere to these deadlines in order to begin solidifying next school year's schedule. Developing a new schedule is an enormous and arduous task that involves multiple variables. We appreciate your cooperation. We hope to distribute next school year's schedules to the students by the close of school. I have included all of the scheduling materials below.
The MS/HS PTA is asking all senior parents to join their meeting on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00 pm. They will be discussing the Gift Basket Extravaganza which supports Project Graduation and they need your support. Please see below for detailed information.
Due to the snowstorm, we had to reschedule the Materials Pick-up/Return Day for remote students to Wednesday, February 10th. Detailed information is posted below.
Just a reminder that school will be closed on Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th in observation of Presidents' Day. Enjoy the long weekend.
Please remember that the DHS virtual health office is still up and running. If your child tests positive for Covid-19 or needs to quarantine as per the Burlington County Health Department, please contact Faith Bowman (School Nurse) at 856-461-6100 x3011 or via email at fbowman@delranschools.org.
If you are having connectivity or Chromebook issues, please go to the Delran Township Help Desk and complete the login. You must have your child's email address(without the @delranschools.org) and his/her password. They will be more than happy to help you!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me at dfinkle@delranschools.org or (856) 461-6100 x3005.
Enjoy the Superbowl this weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!

HIGH SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
PTA Meeting - Senior Parents Please Attend
We will be discussing the UPCOMING Gift Basket Extravaganza (GBE). This EVENT determines what the PTA can sponsor for this year's PROJECT GRADUATION.
Project Graduation/Gift to the Seniors is dependent on the success of the GBE and the event's success depends on the participation of the PARENTS.
During the meeting, we will be discussing the BRAND NEW format of the GBE and how we are working within the COVID guidelines so people can view and select the baskets IN PERSON!!!
PLEASE attend the meeting to find out the details and how you can HELP make this a great year for the SENIORS!
Let’s make sure we can give the SENIORS the end-of-the-year event they deserve! Click here to join the Zoom meeting.
Material Pick-Up/Return Day
Parents will enter the school parking lot from Hartford Road and pass the bus lane and head down the middle of the front parking lot towards the Main Gym. They will announce their child(ren)’s name out the window to a Security Officer. The officer will direct the parents to travel down one of the designated lanes:
Lane 1: (students with the last name A-Li)
or
Lane 2: (students with the last name Lj to Z).
A DHS staff member will pass material pickup bag(s) to the parent through the window. Parents can also pass any returned classroom materials/textbooks to the DHS staff member. Please make sure the bag(s) have your child's name on them.
All vehicles will continue down the end of their lane and loop around near tennis courts to exit on Conrow Road. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Bowen via email at djones@delranschools.org or via phone at (856) 461-6100 X3014.
