WHAT DOES ATPE DO FOR YOU?
Professional Liability Coverage
No other Texas educators’ association matches the protection offered by ATPE. Our Educators Professional Liability Insurance Policy includes up to $8 million in professional liability insurance, the broadest coverage available*, as well as extensive employment rights defense insurance.* Plus, ATPE employs more staff attorneys than any other Texas educators’ association.**
We are here to help. If you have job-related legal questions or concerns, browse this section for information on topics such as certification, evaluations, employment issues and more. Eligible members can ask for help by calling (800) 777-ATPE (2873) or using our simple private contact form.
A Voice at the Capitol
As Texas’ leading educators’ association, our advocacy efforts carry significant weight with legislators. We take your voice to the Capitol, expertly advocating for your priorities and rights at the state and national levels. ATPE’s experienced lobbyists are nonpartisan and focus only on public education in Texas, not outside issues.
We know our members care deeply about Texas public education. ATPE provides opportunities to get involved and effect change yourself. We provide ongoing training in effective political involvement, plus the option to meet with lawmakers during Lobby Day and participate in ATPE-PAC, our nonpartisan political action committee.
