The Communique' is an internal publication for staff of the Fulton School District. The first issue was published in 1988, with a four-year hiatus along the way. News mentioned within is submitted by the staff and relates directly to staff members and their families. If you have news to share, please submit to your building representative.

Fulton Public Schools Welcomes 39 NEW Teachers to the District!

LaNesha Battle is coming to FPS with 13 years of teaching experience ranging from grades 2-6. She is currently teaching 5th grade at Bartley. LaNesha is from Las Vegas, where she was married in 2011 to Terence. LaNesha has two bonus daughters--Tahaja and Kendall who reside in Birmingham, AL.

From a small town in the Jefferson City area, Jeremiah Hoskins has 1 year of teaching experience and is currently teaching Social Studies and ELA at FMS. Jeremiah is engaged to be married to Trena Hass.

Jan McEver, SLP at FMS and FHS, moved to Missouri with her husband Rob just recently. She has two grown children, a brand new grandson, and a dachshund, Rocket. Jan has worked as an SLP for 32 years.

Audrey Penberthy grew up in Callaway County and is an identical twin! She returned to Fulton in 2008 with her husband, David, and two sons, Landon and Blake. Audrey is a Guidance Counselor at McIntire.

Kristy Tiesing is teaching English at Fulton High School. Kristy recently built a new home. Her closest neighbors are her three horses and a pony living in the barn. All her family lives within a couple miles of each other and there is always a little one running around. Kristy has four years teaching experience.

Sara Glynn is from Dixon, Missouri and is the Assistant Band Director at FHS and FMS. Sara also teachers guitar at FMS and an Arts Alive class for 7th graders. She is an only child and is very close to her parents. Sara is currently working on her Masters at CMU and moved to Fulton about a month ago.

Kim Jones was born and raised in Fulton. She left for 28 years but is now living back in the Fulton area. Kim has two sons, both at FHS. She has 22 years of teaching experience and is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Bush.

Linda Hackmann and her husband, Bruce have been married for 6 months. She has two sons, one of whom lives in Tokyo, Japan, a grandson, and two step-daughters. This is Linda's 16th year in education.

Dr. Bethany Moebes teaches 7th grade choir and Arts Alive at FMS. Bethany is also the co-director for the Harmony Hornets. She and her husband, Matt, have two children. They recently moved to Fulton after Matt served in the military in Germany. Before beginning her teaching career, Bethany worked as an opera singer!

Heather Hartin is teaching special education at FMS. Heather is from Oklahoma and enjoys running, soccer, basketball, reading and spending time outdoors. Prior to coming to Fulton, Heather taught in Waynesville, MO.

Angela Lipscomb teaches 6th grade Math and Science at FMS. She has a 3 year-old daughter and is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo! Watch out! Angela is from Mexico, MO and has 10 years teaching experience.

From Ashland, Missouri, Katy Cameron is teaching 2nd grade at McIntire. Katy is engaged to Mitch Canote and the date is set for May 29, 2016. Katy also has a dog named Pogo.

Ariane O'Day is in her 8th year of teaching. Prior to teaching 3rd grade at McIntire this year, Ariane taught seven years in Marshall, MO. Ariane is from St. Louis and has three sisters, one brother, a dog and a cat!

Shannon Little is teaching 4th and 5th grade special education at Bartley! She is from Shelby County, Missouri. Her future husband, Jamie, works for the University of Missouri. A wedding date is set for June 12, 2016. Congratulations!

Ashley Kreyling lives in Mexico, MO with her husband and son, Raphael. Ashley and her family are in the process of getting licensed to adopt out for the foster care system and are excited for the new adventures that await her family. Ashley is a Speech-Language Pathologist and is working at FEC.

Whitney Kettle is teaching special education at Bush and FMS. She and her husband, Tyler, have a two year-old son, Tucker.

From Pennsylvania, Heather Yore joins the faculty at Bush as a 1st grade teacher. She and her husband have two daughters, Addison and Lillian.

Lots of Babies!!!!!

Ryan Krankowski, FMS, and his wife became first time parents on May 15. Arthur Thomas came bouncing in at 6lbs., 19.5 inches long.

Brenda Hawkins, CO, is a Grandmother for the 8th time!!!!! Hunter Joe Hawkins was born on August 26 at 2 p.m. to her son, Wade and his wife, Heather.

Congratulations to Mark Clements, Principal at McIntire. He and his wife welcomed Emma Grace on Wednesday, September 9th. She weighed 8lbs., 11 oz.

Christina Witt welcomed a baby girl, Anna Marie, on September 16.

Don't drink the water at Bush!!!!!

Chelsea Baker and her husband, Alex, will welcome a new baby in March of 2016. Caden and Cara Drew are excited and both are hoping for a baby brother! Good Luck!

Brandi Hassien and her husband, Joe, are excited to announce that they are expecting their first child in March of 2016.

Whitney Eastwood and her husband, Blake, are expecting their first child in February 2016. Chances are good that it could be a Leap Year BABY!!!!!

Lisa Bratten and her husband, James, are excited to welcome baby #2 in February of 2016. Caleb would love a little sister!

Bells Will be Ringing!!!!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas??? Ashley Miller, Bush, is planning a December wedding in Vegas! Ashley and her future husband, Michael Stockman, will enjoy Winter Break in Hawaii following the wedding!

Nikki Brown, Bartley, is engaged to DeShawn Stallworth. The wedding is being planned for August 2016.

Bells already rang for Elizabeth Dunlap Windmann, FMS. She was united in marriage to James Windmann on July 25. Beth is now mom to Taylor, who is a sophomore at FHS.

Condolences and Concerns

Concern for Greg Shepherd, McIntire, who was recently hospitalized. Greg is the step-father to Carla Clines, FEC.

Condolences for Lori Shaw, Bartley, on the death of her husband, Ryan, in August.
