A BIG Shout Out!
From Mrs. Paige Anderson, College and Career Coordinator
A community member's yard accidentally was missed from the list on Community Service Day. The above individuals happened to be next door, and were recruited and willing to help!
They did a wonderful job. The homeowner was very pleased.
And, now, the rest of the story . . .after receiving information that this yard was accidentally missed, Paige Anderson went over after school to rake the leaves herself. Mrs. Storey saw her and called her sons and his friends to come over and help. Now, that's a great "Hornet Highlight!" Thanks to everyone for their help!
HS Students Present "How-To" Speeches
From Miss Wolfe . . .
"The students in Miss Wolfe's speech class delivered exceptional "How-To" speeches last week. Each student showed off his or her skills in a special way by demonstrating them to the class. Kaitlyn Campbell gave a speech about delivering a monologue to draw in the skills she is perfecting in drama club. Ethan Smiley gave a speech on wrestling techniques and safe ways to lose weight and exercise. Arianna Mullins-Goolsby presented on how to make Oreo Cookie Balls and Chieanna Henderson showed students how to make cheesecake-filled strawberries.
Students pictured (and their topics) are as follows: Kasey Arthur (Tennis Techniques), Isaiah Greene (Defensive Football Strategies), Sonnie Viera (Playing a Guitar), and Reecie Gilliam (How to Hit a Softball).
Excellent presentations were delivered by all!"
