Students made journals and talked about the importance of writing in their lives.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
We did things a little differently this year. We worked with all 23 English I classes on their research papers during the first six weeks in order to familiarize them with the Skeeter Library.
SOCIAL MEDIA
We love using Twitter to reach out to writers. We got a tweet from Jandy Nelson, the author of this FABULOUS book!
GUYS READ!
We are getting students to join TEAM READ in order to inspire a culture of literacy on our camps--AKA "it's cool to be a reader!"
SUCCESS STORY
J. Brown has read 3 books since finding this one. All it takes is ONE book to ignite the reading spark!
