A Note from Mr. Nakano
"To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone." - Reba McEntire
"If you're lucky enough to be different, don't ever change." - Taylor Swift
It's amazing to know that our first trimester has already completed! In just a short 120 school days, your child will be embarking on to new adventures in middle school.
Report cards will be released on Friday, December 2nd. As we look at the targets your child has achieved, as well as the ones they are still working on, we look at growth and learning from our previous errors as we head towards the second trimester.

Walk Through Ancient Civilizations
*Those who are participating in the Team Kids carnival will be participating in this event with another class.*
*Students are encouraged to bring a lunch.*
Because of our scheduled presentation time, we will be eating an early lunch, around 11:30, before the cafeteria opens. This allows the students to still participate in the carnival at an earlier time.

Outdoor Ed
Just a reminder that the Outdoor Ed forms, along with payment ($360), are due by next Friday, December 2nd.
Only if your child is bringing medication (of any kind), does the Medication Authorization Form need to be turned in. If your child is bringing medication, please remember that it needs to be turned in to our school nurse at least a week before we depart (January 10th) for verification. All medication must be in their original containers (no pill boxes). Thank you!

Student Progress
Just a reminder that report cards will be available to view on Friday, December 2nd. Our students have made great progress at working at or achieving their goals this first trimester. Their next steps are to re-evaluate and set goals for the second trimester that focus on growth and personal responsibility.
