Water Pollution

Destiny De Avila , period 6

Impact on Ecosystems

Water pollution takes a huge impact on species that live in the water. Many sea life animals live. Many of these sea animals breath from their skin or gills and might even eat the particles in the water. So they're taking in all that waste and garbage that isn't good for them. Plants that live in water are also endangered to the polluted water as well.

If water continues to be polluted then there will be more dead animals, dead plants, droughts, more diseases, and it also harms the ecosystem.

Ways to Impact Water Pollution

To prevent water pollution, many people would have to watch what they flush down the toilet or drain down the sink. Many chemicals such as: paint, oil, and other forms of litter cannot be drained down the sink.

Don’t throw litter into rivers, lakes or oceans. Help clean up any litter you see on beaches or in rivers and lakes, make sure it is safe to collect the litter and put it in a nearby dustbin.

"Stop the Pollution Quick, Don't Make the Water Sick"

Water pollution can be prevented, however, there has to be new equipment and the process can cost lots of money. Also, many people just choose not to help. Somehow, leaving garbage on the beach or on the ground is easier than to throw it away in a garbage can.
