Where Scholars Soar to Excellence
A LEADER OF THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE
From the Desk of Principal Woods-Wallace
Hello Middlebury Families,
We are now in the second half of our 3rd quarter of school! Wow-- time really does fly! Teachers are working diligently to provide scholars with a full spectrum of instruction. Likewise, our scholars are making extra efforts to show up and demonstrate their learning in various modalities.
As the clock continues to tick, it is imperative that each and every one of our scholars are participating, asking questions and submitting their work on a daily basis. This gives us a gauge as to what instructional concepts need to be re-taught and re-assessed. We can only gain this insight by examining the work of our scholars-- thus our scholars must be present everyday to show what they know!
Ohio State Testing is fast approaching in March, so preparation is underway! We are creating data driven small groups, extra instructional days for our exceptional scholars and providing scholars with physical references and manipulatives to use even when they are virtual. Our goal is to remove as many barriers as possible to allow scholars to obtain their highest level of academic success at Middlebury.
To that end, all families are asked to make sure that scholars are present in-person by 8:00 am for breakfast, or logged on virtually after breakfast by 8:30 am. We do not have a minute to waste, so let's make sure that every educational minute counts towards our scholars' academic growth!
If you are finding that your scholars is in need of additional support in any way, please call our school at 330.752.2766 for assistance.
Thank you for all of your efforts-- YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS!!
