Gandhi Takes Over British Salt
Following Gandhi on his 240 mile march
Taking Over the British Salt
I traveled for many miles to get to India. While I was there i met a man named Mohandas Gandhi, he wanted freedom for India. The British forced India to not make salt, but Gandhi was against that law. He went on a 240 mile march to protest, stopping in every village on the way and more and more people decided to join him. They stopped on the beach and Gandhi made salt in front of thousands of people. He was later put in jail for his actions. While experiencing this, I wrote a report and sent it into a magazine. When it was published more people became informed about this problem in India, they all protested against the British law.
