Dear Parents,
This is the last week of the marking period!

7th Grade: We had M-STEP for ELA on Thursday. The students put in great effort. Our argumentative essays will begin, revisiting the merits of Jonas's community from The Giver.
8th Grade: It’s the last week of the semester! We will wrap up our poetry unit this week. Students that have any missing assignments need to have them turned in by Tuesday. Once Lancer Leap starts, we will continue to have a regular English 8 class but we will turn our focus to Greek Mythology.
SOCIAL STUDIES
6th Grade: We are learning about life during Ancient Rome. Students have been assigned a “Tic-Tac-Toe” project menu where they will need to pick three projects to do about Ancient Rome. They must form a tic-tac-toe in order to get full credit. They may do additional projects for extra credit if they wish. All projects will be due on Tuesday May 16th which is the last time this class will meet.
