TECHNOLOGY SURVEY
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning.
We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our school/district questionnaire. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
When you complete the survey, complete it with McGowen in mind. If you have children at other MISD schools, there will be separate surveys for those schools. Also, you need only complete one survey per campus, regardless the number of children you have at that campus.
The last day to complete this questionnaire is March 18, 2016.
Please go to www.BByt.es/FY3LP to complete the survey.
Thank you for taking part in this important initiative!

SCHOOL DISMISSAL MANAGER
Dear McGowen Families,
We are excited to announce McGowen will begin using the School Dismissal Manager program after spring break. Here are some of the features of the program to make life easier for you and the school.
- Easy to use website to make changes in dismissal plans.
- You no longer have to call the school or write notes when dismissal plans change.
- You can make changes up until 2:35pm each day. This will allow ample time for the system reports to be generated and distributed.
On Wednesday you received an email with instructions, as well as a user name and password, via email tomorrow. Once you receive the email from School Dismissal Manager, you can begin editing your child's dismissal calendar. We will go live with the program on Monday, Marth 14th. For additional information, please visit www.schooldismissalmanager.com.
We want to thank our PTA for providing this for us and we are excited about the program as it will add a layer of safety and makes it much easier for the parents as well.
Sincerely.
