. Must be 18 years of age .

.Must live in the state you apply for for at least3 months .

.Must have a clean record .

.Understsnd the U.S. Constitution .

.Know the basics of the English language .

.Understand the U.S goverment.

.Pledge yourself to the U.S

.Determine if you are already a citizen.

.Are you able to become a U.S citizen.

.Have you N-400 Form ready.

.Submit form N-400 for naturalization.

.Go to biometrics appointment if you qualify.

.Complete the interview.

Receive a decision from the USCIS on your form.

Receive a notice to take the oath of Allegiance.

.Take the oath of allegiance to the U.S.

.Understand the roles of being a U.S citizen.
