Highlights around Patrick Henry
We have had an incredible number of events over the last four weeks, but there have also been many special moments right here at Patrick Henry. Take a look below for some of our highlights over the last few weeks!
Sister, Sister Look-alike sisters matched outfits and positive attitudes while they waited for dismissal, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. | Construction Zone Ms. Womack's preschool classroom received a new center recently that allows students to get into their construction gear and get to work fixing things! | Walking Library Visit Our school is within walking distance of the magical Central Branch of St. Louis Public Library, and as a treat after all the MAP testing, Ms. Jami's class walked to the library and enjoyed an amazing and relaxing afternoon of reading and fun! |

Go Where You Grow Patrick Henry students have been taking their final reading and math assessments of the school year to show their growth over the course of the school year, and the results are coming in STRONG! We love watching students grow academically, it is one of the most rewarding parts of our job as educators! | Behind the Scenes Our Teacher Appreciation Week was full of sneaky staff members and students who were making surprises happen each day for our educators. It was fun to be behind the scenes and see all the hard work that went into the gifts for each educator! | PE Joy Ms. Young's students have been loving time in the gym recently where they have been getting their movement minutes in while playing cooperative games. We love to see it! |

Behind the Scenes
Practical Life Skills Preschool students made use of their snack time to learn a practical life skill: safe cutting! Students were able to slice their own apples and feel a sense of great accomplishment. | Garden Volunteers Led by the tireless Ms. Sherian Bailey, we hosted a group of garden volunteers who helped our garden beds shape up in time for the spring growing season. Ms. Bailey gave up a Saturday morning in order to be here to host the group, and we are so thankful she did - the beds and produce are looking great! | Dance Class Students in Ms. Willard's Kindergarten class and Ms. Versen's 1st/2nd Grade class were able to take a dance class this semester that culminated in a beautiful final performance of "Giraffes Can't Dance," based on a hilarious book. Students had beautiful costumes and practiced dance moves, and they performed with great confidence! |
