More than Meets the Eye
Summer 2014 - Finishing the Summer Strong!
God has granted us amazing staff, incredible campers, and hot weather, especially after many storms and fallen trees from the winter winds and rains. God has brought many volunteers, donors, and servants to re-roof three of our building, pour new concrete, build up walls, and clean up the messes. Also, we have had 89 campers receive Christ into their hearts for the first time so far this summer! God is in the business of transforming hearts!
Spring Outdoor Schools!
We have 6 outdoor schools this year from the Salem/Keizer school district and Salem Academy!
Paintball Day Camp! Last one on August 18-22
Tactical, drills, strategy and team work all in the name of fun! Bible studies and field trips! Come join in the game! Click on the link to register! http://www.canyonviewministries.org/#!paintball/c24s2
Gaga Ball!
Our newest addition or "addiction" to Day Camp this summer! Come anytime of the year and play as we have built three octagon pits at camp!
Leaving a Mark - A Job Well Done
Sherilyn Sanders Retires after 16 years; Rick Saffeels moving on to other callings
Sherilyn Sanders, our Dean of Students for the Equestrian College has retired from Canyonview Ministries. Her retirement reception was on June 22nd and now is pursuing Advocare and ministering with her husband Carl. Pray for them as they have been a huge part of our ministry.
Rick Saffeels, our Program director, has accepted a full time position at Salem Academy as the 7th and 8th grade Science. He and his wife Caley have been a part of Canyonview since 2002 as a Junior Counselor to everything else in between. Pray for them as they transition to a new and exciting ministry and the transition for the new Associate Director, Chris Kinman.

Welcome 'Newt' Chris Kinman to the Canyonview Staff
Our new Associate Director, Chris Kinman, moves to Canyonview with his wife and three kids. Chris was living in Washington and working at a camp as well as a church. Kinman was with Canyonview in the '90 and '00's as he has been a counselor and day camp director in the Canyon. We are very excited as he will be living here at camp and continuing to grow Canyonview into the next adventures God has in store for our ministry.
