Statement of Inquiry: The setting in various genres allows us to learn about and appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the world.
Summative Assessment: Students will adapt a part of a selection from either the basal, Collections, or other story from a different country as a play.

Summative Assessment: Students will demonstrate their knowledge of physical science by going through several stations in the science lab set up for students to use a triple beam balance, measure liquids using a graduated cylinder, and calculate density.

Summative Assessment: The product will consist of a new country that is outlined in its physical boundaries and nonphysical limitations. It can be presented in power point form, poster form, prezi form, etc.

Summative Assessment: Students will create a new line dance using moves from all of the line dances that were introduced to them in this unit.

Summative Assessment: You have travelled to Tunisia as a peace corps volunteer. They need you to teach the students at the local school, a one octave scale. You will need to write out finger patterns for each note of the Concert Bb Major scale, letter names of each note and be able to play the Bb Major scale on your instrument.

Second Step Update
All MYP students will be participating in Lessons 4 and 5 of the Second Step curriculum January 29th and 30th and February 12th and 13th. Below are the learning objectives so that you will be able to ask your student about what they are learning. You can also ask them about the “homework” they should be bringing home after each lesson.
