Oak Harbor High School Art Club announces Community Clay Night
Oak Harbor High School Art Club is sponsoring Community Clay Night Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The cost will be $15/person and any age is welcome. Participants will come to the art room for this family-friendly opportunity (Room 609) and have the opportunity to glaze/paint ceramic pieces created by high school art students with handprints, designs, or a solid color. Glazed ceramic pieces will be available to pick up after school on March 6th. For questions or to RSVP please contact Mrs. Gilbert at egilbert@bcssd.com. Spaces are limited.
B-C-S Spring Senior Citizens Luncheon
Benton-Carroll-Salem School District is pleased to announce the Spring B-C-S Senior Citizens Luncheon on March 12! The cost is only $2.

Sunday Fun Open Swims at Oak Harbor High School
Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools is pleased to announce new times for Sunday Fun Open Swims at the Oak Harbor High School Pool for all B-C-S students, families, and community members starting on January 12, 2020. Racquetball courts will also be open to adults during these times. The pool and racquetball courts will be open on the following Sundays from 2:00 until 4:00 PM: February 9, 16, 23; March 1, March 8, March 15.
Pool admission cost to be paid at the door for B-C-S students is only $1, and B-C-S adults will be $2. Racquetball courts will be open to B-C-S adults only for an additional charge of $2 (limit 4 per court). A lifeguard and site director will be on-site to ensure safety. Please note that these Sunday Fun times will be cancelled if Ottawa County is on a Level Two or Level Three Snow Emergency as announced by the Ottawa County Sheriff.

One School, One Book
We’re in the middle of our One School, One Book reading experience. This year we’re reading The Water Horse. Classrooms participate in daily trivia and activities. Each classroom hatched their own waterhorse and the waterhorse in the hallway grows each day.
Family Movie Night!
Family Movie Night was a big hit! It’s a family-friendly, fun event sponsored by our TIE group.
Recess with RC!
Mrs. W’s kindergarten students enjoyed recess with RC, our school guinea pig. Mrs. Rahm taught the students all about caring for her.
3rd Grade Superhero Basketball shootout!
Third-grade superhero reading challenge participated in their first activity where teams competed with a basketball shootout.
RC Waters Elementary Kindergarten Registration and Screening
Benton-Carroll-Salem School District will hold a Kindergarten Information and Registration Night for parents of incoming kindergarten students on Thursday, March 5 at 6 pm. During this meeting, parents will receive enrollment paperwork, information about kindergarten, tour the building, and will sign up for a screening appointment.
Kindergarten Screening appointments will be on Wednesday, April 8 from 8:15 am - 7:30 pm and Thursday, April 9 from 8:15 am - 3:00 pm at R.C. Waters Elementary.
In order to be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by Sept. 30. All kindergarten students should be screened and registered to begin the school year.

THE 4TH ANNUAL PATCHES O’HOULIHAN DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE HERE AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST BEGINNING AFTER SCHOOL. PACKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE BUT MUST BE TURNED IN TO MR. O’NEILL OR MRS. SUGALSKI.
