Coloma Junior High
Week of March 13th
Welcome Back
I hope that everyone was able to enjoy spring break. As we return we are at the start of 4th Marking Period. Students have a fresh start at the start of a marking period. What are some goals that you and your child have for the final marking period? How can you support them in achieving the goals?
Students Arriving after 8am
Don't forget if your child arrives after 8am, they will need to be signed in by an adult. Please walk your child in and sign them in, in the main office.
Spring Sports
Spring Sport Practices will begin on Monday, March 27th. Students must have a physical uploaded into Big Teams in order to participate.
Positive School Community
Our students and staff will continue to foster a positive school community by continuing our discussions around thoughts, emotions and decisions. You can support this by having conversations with your child about this week's topics.
- 6th Grade students will be able to apply their knowledge from the unit to promote awareness about emotion-management strategies at school.
- 7th Grade students will be able to:
- Demonstrate how strong emotions can prompt unhelpful thoughts
- Model strategies for managing their emotions
- 8th Grade students students will be able to create an individual plan for managing their stress.
