Dear CHES families,
We hope you are continuing to read The Chocolate Touch. If you're keeping up, you should have read through chapter 5. This week we will read chapters 6-9. It's never too late to start! You can click here to visit our website for everything you need to know and also view/listen to staff members read chapter 1-5.
It's time to choose our 2020 Teacher of the Year! This year, I'd like to give parents the option to nominate a teacher. If you would like to submit a nomination, please click here. Nominations are due by 4 PM Tuesday, March 19.

- Sunday 3/17: Happy Birthday, Mrs. Lane!
- Monday 3/18: Spring Pictures
- Tuesday 3/19: Statewide Tornado Drill. Channel 8 will be visiting during the drill. Pyramid Concert @ 7 PM at Clover Hill HS
- Wednesday 3/20: After School Activities: BOB Practice, 5th Gr Performance @ 7 PM-Cosby HS
- Thursday 3/21: After School: Bricks4Kidz
- Friday 3/22:
- Saturday March 23: Come out and support Clover Hill Elementary School by running the trails of Woodlake in the 7th annual Lucky Clover 5k! Start & Finish on school grounds. The Kids Run will begin @ 8:45am and the 5k @ 9:30am. To register for the Lucky Clover, please visit the registration page on this website. Everyone is invited to attend and help cheer on our runners, even if you choose not to run!

Swift Creek MS is hosting a Spring Extravaganza for all members of the community on Saturday, March 23 which is the same day as our Lucky Clover. Please join us for the Lucky Clover (even if you choose not to run) for a fun morning and then head over to SCMS for an afternoon of fun! Click here for the SCMS flier.
Clover Hill Elementary School has teamed up with Goodwill to help you with your spring cleaning! Go through your attic, garage, and closets and bring your “clutter” to the big blue Goodwill truck in Clover Hill Elementary School parking lot Saturday, April 27th from 10am to 2pm. Habit 4-Think Win-Win: Everyone Can Win
Parents, there is so much you can do to build confidence and win-win thinking in your kids. You can show unconditional love at all time not just on love based on performance. You can avoid comparative language at all cost, such as, “Why can’t you do your homework like your brother?” Instead of using that language you could affirm a child’s worth and potential , such as “You’re so good at that!” Teach them not to be jealous or compare themselves to others. The truth is, we are all VIP’s. There is something different and special inside of each of us. Think Win-Win isn't about being nice, nor is it a quick-fix technique. It is a character-based code for human interaction and collaboration. See a great video below.
