Building our 21st Century Skills

Technological opportunities to help you grow!

January 6, 2016

Technology at its best is when it can bring people together across states and distances. Frehley Woods used her technical prowess to bring the West Christmas Program to the Valiers in a Texas hospital. Through the thoughtfulness of Frehley, Ava was able to connect with her parents and grandparents and bring a bit of pre-Christmas joy to them.

Thanks to Frehley for your thoughtful use of technology! Our continued prayers are with Ava and her family.

What is a TwitterBook Chat?

A TwitterBook Chat is a book study in the form of a Twitter chat where a group of Twitter users meet online at a pre-determined time to discuss a certain book using the hashtag #MVeLearn for each tweet contributed. A host or moderator will pose questions (designated with Q1, Q2…) to prompt responses from participants (using R1, R2…) and encourage interaction among the group. Chats typically last an hour. Our first official chat will revolve around the Introduction of the Teach Like A Pirate book. We will post the questions before the chat so you can have some answers ready to go. We will also have a couple of short Twitter Chats (TBA) before our first official TwitterBook Chat (January 27) so we can practice our Twitter skills.

This is guaranteed to be fun! We will provide all the help you need to be successful with your Twitter skills!

If you would like to participate in reading the book and joining the TwitterBook Chat, please use the form below to request a book. We still have a few more books left...better hurry though, they are going fast, and we want YOU to have this opportunity!
