Congratulations Middle School Band

Four 8th grade BMS band students were accepted to the SCIBA Honor Band this winter. Pictured Left to Right are musicians Emily Mosier, trombone (Sacred Heart); Nicole Mosier, trumpet (Sacred Heart); Hailey Peterson, flute; and Aidan Rose, horn. Students had to video a difficult audition consisting of them performing 8 majors scales, chromatic scale, and two challenging etudes. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will not be a festival this year but their band director, Rose Kundel, is proud of their hard work in auditioning for the ensemble. She says, "These students worked hard preparing for and recording their audition. It is a good skill for them to have in their toolbox as they continue to grow as musicians. I know their future is bright!". Hailey Peterson and Aidan Rose were selected for the top Blue Band; Nicole and Emily Mosier were selected for the second White Band.
