Charger Check-In
August 17, 2021
A Note from Ms. Owens
Teachers and staff are eagerly awaiting the "real" start of the school year. That happens when our students come on Thursday! We have been preparing classrooms, organizing books, decorating bulletin boards, labeling folders and planning lessons. This week, especially, we are exploring the concept of a growth mindset, learning more about how we can attend to our students' social emotional needs and setting the ground work for increasing our emphasis on Archdiocesan priority learning standards. Our work in these three areas will continue as the school year progresses. To help bring focus to our growth mindset work, our theme for this school year is "It's GROW time!"
As per Executive Order 2021-18, all students, staff, faculty and visitors over the age of 2 will need to wear a mask over their nose and mouth while in the school building. For additional important information regarding Covid-related protocols, please view the slide deck available via the button below. While some protocols will remain in place, we are excited about the return of many best practices for teaching and for student development - small group work, departmentalized switching of classes for upper grades, whole grade levels playing at recess, extracurricular activities, etc.
As we begin school on Thursday, here are a few reminders about the first few days of school.
Thursday, August 19
- School starts at 8AM
- PK3 & PK4 dismisses at 10AM
