Constitution
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land in the United States. IT was signed on September 17,1787 by delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia , presided over by George Washington. It forms a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure Domestic Tranquility, provides for the common defense, promotes the general Welfare , and secures the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.
House of Senate
The house of Senate is located at The Capitol Building in Washington DC . At the US Capitol building The Senate and the house of representatives come together to discuss debate and deliberate national policies. The capitol building construction started in 1793 the Congress officially moved from Philadelphia in 1800.
Three Branches of Goverment
Legislative Branch- Congress
Is made up of senators in the Senate . They make laws,approves presidential appointments,two Senators from each state ,the number of congressmen it's based on population .
The Executive Branch- President- vice president
Is the White House this is were they sign laws ,veto laws,pardons people, and appoints federal judges. The President is elected every four years.
The Judical Branch - supreme court
Is the Supreme Court .Judges are appointed by the president .They decides if laws are constitutional ,there are nine justices ,they can overturn ruling by other judges.
Checks And Balances
The system of checks and balances is part of our Constitution it guarantees that that no part of the government becomes too powerful. The legislative branch is in charge of making laws the executive branch can veto the law, making out harder for the legislative branch to pass the law. The judical branch may also say that the law is unconstitutional and make sure it is not a law. The legislative branch can also remove a president or judge that is not doing his or her job properly. The executive branch appoints judges in the legislative branch approves the choices of the executive branch. The branches check balance each other so that no one branch is has too much power.
Difference between state government and central government
Central government performs responsibilities regarding national security and international security and international diplomacy , while state government deals with law and order and development situation. Power and authority system of central government is wholly based on centralization while in countries where there are state government shows that there is decentralization of power and authorities in countries.
