This week is cluster week for the Langston Hughes feeder schools! Please see the information below! Be sure to send me pictures or tweet our students utilizing the AVID strategies. We are the number 2 (by a fraction of a point) school in the cluster and let's represent this week!

At this school, do parents frequently volunteer?? I strongly agree! Kudos to Mrs. Oliver-Smith for utilizing your parent volunteer to run a small group during your math block.

Rule of Thumb to Make Life Easier with Reading & Writing Grades:
Students need a total of NINE grades for the semester for each subject. Therefore, 3 grades for each unit (3 units per semester) will help you to reach this expectation.
Possible Reading Grades:

2. 3rd - 5th Jots Using a Rubric
3. iReady Lesson Grade
4. End of the Unit Illuminate Assessment
5. End of the Unit Reading Performance Assessment (4 questions)
