Sweden
Why Sweden you may ask? Well, there are many reasons. The landscape provides the perfect terrain for Middle-Earth. There are mountains and caves, which play a big part in the terrain of middle-Earth. There are also grassy hills where the Hobbit would have lived, and villages where the elves could have been hiding out.
Overview
Sweden has an amazing landscape, it has mountains and rivers. There are also dense forests and underground caves. The official language is Swedish. It's a very modern place, but that doesn't mean it can't be a place that has lots of older culture. It places value on the different foods that it has, and it also has lots of books that are a part of its culture
Castles and other man made things
Castles and other houses in rural areas give the area a very Middle-Earth feeling
Moutains
The mountains in Sweden are rocky and icy, just the way that they are described in the lord of the Rings/Hobbit books.
Caves
In the Hobbit, Bilbo ends up traveling through a long stretch of caves. They have lots of caves in Sweden that resemble what is described in the Hobbit.
Why is Sweden the best choice?
While other countries/places might have only some aspects of Middle-Earth, Sweden has close to ALL of the aspects of Middle-Earth.
