Student Device Care
Student iPads and laptops are expensive resources. We ask that you help us remind children about the proper care of these devices. Students may not have their laptops open on bus rides, and they may not carry their laptops in the open position while walking around. Incidents of abuse or intentional damage are not covered by the usage fee and may result in the full repair cost being billed to the Student and Parent/Guardian. Thank you for your assistance.
Thank You to our BVE Family!
Dear BV Families:
Wow! We wanted to extend our deepest appreciation to all of you that supported our Spring Staff Appreciation Luncheon! We were able to use all of your food and donations to provide our entire building staff with a wonderful luncheon on March 17th before parent/teacher conferences began. This luncheon allowed us to thank everyone that works at Bridge Valley for their hard work and dedication in taking care of our precious children. Below you will find a few pictures of the Chinese food extravaganza you made happen! Thank you again for your continued support of our Home and School sponsored events!
Gratefully,
The Teacher Appreciation Committee

SPARK
Below is a Sparks newsletter article we sent out almost two years ago. The topic is still very relevant. Please take the time to watch with your children for some interesting and needed discussion.
In today’s world we are all trying to know what is best for our children but it is difficult to see what lies ahead for them. The Sparks video below gives some economic insight into the past, present and future. Please share your reactions to this video with you children for their own understanding of future possibilities.

Heart Watch Program
Central Bucks School District is teaming up with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Heart Watch Program under the Division of Cardiology to improve our emergency response to victims of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and become Heart Watch Certified. To accomplish this goal, it will require some additional education and preparation for Bridge Valley’s existing CERT team, along with other CERT teams across district buildings. The following interventions will be implemented:
1. CPR and AED training for all members of the CERT teams
2. The creation of a written Cardiac Emergency Response Plan specific to building levels
3. The addition of a new overhead call for a cardiac emergency response in all buildings.
4. Education to all staff regarding the Heart Watch Program and its implications in each district building.
5. The facilitation and supervision of a cardiac emergency response drill (with your CERT teams) to ensure all tasks on the CHOP evaluation check list are completed.
6. Certification through CHOPs Heart Watch Program
During the month of March, Bridge Valley facilitated a Code Heart Drill, and are proud of our CERT Team’s quick and effective response.
