Wow! How amazing it was to see the 5th graders demonstrating perseverance and staying focused during M-Step testing this week!! I am so proud of their commitment to doing their best! If you didn’t know, the students in Third-Fifth grade will be completing the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-Step) over the next six weeks. If your child is in one of these grades, a letter will come home prior to testing with greater detail. If you are interested in more information, follow this link to Michigan's Assessment System: What it is, What it Means and What it Offers. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Spring is an exciting time! The flowers begin blooming, weather becomes warmer and there is more daylight to enjoy. Families are busy with sports, activities and events. Here at school, students continue to learn and grow. Every day we see how far they have come as learners! Many important events, field trips and activities are coming soon. Please be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher during this busy time.
With just two months left of my first year as Principal at Davisburg, I am amazed at how fast the time has flown by. It is a true joy getting to know the students and families of this awesome learning community! Please remember, I do value your input and partnership. Feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comments, ideas, or concerns.
Always grateful!
