Join us on the lawn in front of the library as Maria James-Thiaw, professor at Central Penn College, reads selections from her latest book of poetry, Talking "White," in which she speaks to cultural notions of what it means to be authentically black.
Light refreshments will be served.

6:45 - opening act, student Zac Monnier, reads his Poetry Prize-winning poem
6:50 - introduction of Maria Thiaw by event emcee Tim Kearney
7:00 - poetry readings by Maria Thiaw
7:30 - Q&A
7:45 - Book signing (books will be available on-site for $10.95)
