JJ Thomson's development included that of making a model out of plum pudding that showed the negatively charged properties of electrons in an atom. He however was not correct about certain components of positively charged particles.

Thomson was born in Cheetham Hill, England and he died in Cambridge and buried in Westminster Abbey next to other influential scientists as in Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton.
