Classroom News!
We were all very happy to reunite after our spring break!
It is April which means it is time to learn about farm life. We talked about the hard work farmers have to do each day to take care of their crops and animals. We also read a book about cows and their contribution to all of the delicious dairy products we enjoy each day.
We also began reading the chapter book "The Story of Diva and Flea" by Mo Willems and Tony Diterlizi. The children have enjoyed listening to and discussing the character development in this fun story.
Conversation Starters
* What are some different kinds of cows?
* What does the word "dairy" mean?
* What city do Diva and Flea live in?
Poem of the Week
Robin
Robin spied a chubby worm
And thought he'd have a snack
But when he tried to tug that worm,
It rudely tugged him back.
The worm was strong and sturdy
And it pulled him off his feet,
So Robin thought he'd better find
A smaller worm to eat.
