Community Resources for Families (updated 7/1/21)
FREE SUMMER MEALS
Westside Community Schools is proud to offer free summer meals to students, funded by the US Department of Agriculture! Sites opened Tuesday, June 1. This is open to all families, no ID's or financial qualifications required.
- Prairie Lane Elementary (11444 Hascall St.), dine in cafeteria service
- Breakfast, 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Lunch, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- 5 day meal kits handout (breakfast and lunch) provided on Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Westbrook Elementary (1312 Robertson Dr.), dine in cafeteria service
- Breakfast, 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Lunch, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- 5 day meal kits handout (breakfast and lunch) provided on Wednesdays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Westgate Elementary (7802 Hascall St.), dine in cafeteria service
- Breakfast, 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Lunch, 11:00 AM to 1 PM
- Westside Middle School (8601 Arbor St.)
- 5 day meal kit handout to the public on Tuesdays 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- WMS will also have summer school students that will be served but the cafeteria will be closed to the public/no cafeteria dining.
- Please note: Westbrook Elementary has taken the place of Hillside Elementary. This change will allow Westside Nutrition Services to better serve the needs of our community.

Free backpack distribution
Backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed in mid-August at three area locations:
- August 10-12 for Omaha at the Kroc Center and North Corps
- August 11 at the Millard Branch Omaha Public Library
- August 17 in Council Bluffs (pre-registration required)
Returning Student Registration!!
It's time to complete the Returning Student Registration for 2021-2022. This MUST be completed for each currently enrolled student returning to Westside in August.
Please log into PowerSchool (ps.westside66.org) and click on the icon in the lower left corner.

Westside Family Resource Center
The Resource Center is located at Pipal Community Center located at 7770 Hascall St. (Next to Westgate Elementary School). The entrance to the Resource Center is located at the Northeast corner of the building.
Thanks to some very generous donors (A District 66 family, W Club and the Westside Foundation), we now have our clothing closet, coat closet and food pantry all in one location! Families are able to come shop for clothing and pick up food/pantry items, as needed.
