BEAU CHENE HIGH SCHOOL
Kathy Olivier, Beau Chene Teacher of the Year
Beau Chene High FFA Land Judging Team represented Beau Chene, St. Landry Parish, and Louisiana in the 68th annual National Land Judging Contest in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma April 29th-May 3rd. The team competed against 102 of the nations best FFA Land Judging Teams.
Beau Chene FFA did an outstanding job and finished 4th in the nation! Team members were Victoria Higdon, Emmerson Lyons, and Korey Hoss. Korey also finished 9th high individual. Their advisors are Richie Badeaux and Daniel Moreno. The contest was held in El Reno, Oklahoma. This is the second time that Beau Chene High has finished in the Top 5 in the Nation. In 2011, the team finished 4th as well.

East Elementary held their Super Celebration for the fourth quarter and recognized students that demonstrate Super Behavior.
East Elementary held a LEAP pep rally the Friday before testing. Fourth-grade students were recognized for their test scores from last year and awarded with t-shirts and gift cards. Students were also treated to snacks, face painting, and music. Members of the LSUE softball and baseball teams were there to help us celebrate and sign autographs.
