M.C. Escher The Mathematician?

M.C. Escher's real name is Maurits Cornelis Escher. He was born in Leeuwarden, Holland on June 17, 1978. Escher went to college for architecture then shifted to art in college. M.C. Escher was so famous that Mussolini and King Emmanuel went to his wedding. Escher's work had strange geometry and mathematical impossibilities. Escher used the term mental imagery to decribe his artwork. Escher's artwork was used in physcology, philosophy, logic, crystallography, and topology, etc. Escher died at the age of 73 from cancer on March 27, 1972.

Transformations

There are three different types of transformations. One transformation is a translation that slides the shape. Another transformation is a reflection where it reflects a plane. The final transformation is a rotation, a rotation is when you rotate a shape on a certain angle. Those are all of the different types of transformations.
