Career Day! April 21, 2023

Calling All Careers!

Parkside Elementary will be hosting a Career Day on April 21st from 8-10:30am and we are looking for volunteers to present on various career topics. There are several options for you to participate.

Traditional Career Fair- for grades 3-5: This is an indoor event where you will talk about your career and answer questions. We will have a table set up for you.

Careers on Wheels- for grades Kinder-2: This event introduces careers to our younger students through work vehicles. You will need a vehicle that you use for your career to participate in this event.

If you are interested in volunteering to present your career to our students, please fill out this form.

If you have any questions, please reach out to

International Night Success!

International Night was a HUGE success! We were blown away by the level of detail and effort put in by our community to make this event possible! Thank you to everyone who hosted a booth, volunteered, and attended International Night!

A specials shout out to the PTA Diversity Committee - Mrs. Jacqueline Waite and Mrs. Priyanka Bhatt, and Mrs. Cox and Ms. Duong for the time and immeasurable effort they put into the planning of the event.

The birth of this idea came from the partnership between family and school and THAT is what makes this school so beautiful! We are SO excited to begin planning the next International Night for the 23-24 school year!

LISD Staff Spotlight!

Is there a #1LISD staff member who you've seen go above and beyond in their role and responsibilities and who highlights the district's 10 Ethical Principles? We would love to feature them across our social media platforms.

Please fill out this form to nominate an outstanding LISD staff member!

HEROES Mentors Needed!

We need mentors for students at our campus and across the district. Spending just 30 minutes of your time once per week can make a true difference in the life of a child. Our campus counselors can work out a schedule that works for you and your mentee.

To learn more about HEROES mentoring and to sign up, visit our HEROES Mentor website.

Birthday Celebrations

Please be aware that we have several students on campus with food allergies, so non-food items for birthday treats are always preferred. We respectfully request that families provide teachers at least 48-hours notice if you are planning to bring birthday treats to the school for your child. All birthday celebrations will occur at the end of the school day.

Thanks for you support as we strive to keep kids happy and safe while celebrating birthdays at school!
