Jumpin Jacks Fundraiser

Please join us for a fun night at Jumpin Jacks in Hatfield TONIGHT, Friday, November 10th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM!!! Cost is $10 at the door and can be paid either in cash or by credit card. There will be baked goods for sale in the lobby. All children must have a completed release waiver to jump and must wear socks. Home and School Meeting

Please join us for our last meeting of 2017 this Monday, November 10th at 7:00PM in the Library. Babysitting will be provided. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone that came out to support our Applebee's FlapJack Fundraiser last Saturday! It was a fun morning and $418.00 was raised for our school! A very special Thank You to the teachers that came out to help serve, and for the generous donations left as tips to benefit a Vernfield family!

Girls on the Run

Vernfield is participating in its second season of Girls on the Run! Girls on the Run is a program for girls in 3rd through 5th Grades. Registration is now open and doesn’t close until December 13th. Register online at www.gotrpa.org.


Our season begins on February 26th and we will meet Mondays and Thursdays 3:30-5:00 after school at Vernfield. The registration fee is $175 and financial aid applications are available at www.gotrpa.org. Our season ends with a 5K on May 20th at Montgomery County Community College. This year’s coaches will be Mrs. Steffy, Mrs. Raisner, Mrs. Halteman, and Mrs. Donovan. The informational flyer can be found here.

Conference Time Parent Book Fair

Parents,


There will be a book fair for parents during conference time. This is your chance to shop without the children seeing you. A gift wrapping station will be available. All profits benefit our school library. There will be some raffles. No purchase necessary to enter the raffles. Just stop by and say Happy Holidays to get your raffle ticket.


I am looking for a few parents to cover some of the shifts as I have library meetings to attend. Please email me (melightstone@soudertonsd.org) if you can cover a 2-3 hr. shift on any of the three dates listed.

Communicator Reminder

Please remember that Parent Communicator envelopes will be sent home with your child on Tuesdays and should be emptied and returned the next day. The envelopes contain important communications about school events and happenings. If you cannot find your child's envelope or have any other questions, please email Kelly Cole at kdaniellem@hotmail.com. Thank you!

Science Rocks Night

Science Rocks night will be held on Friday, December 1st from 6:30-8:30PM. This is a special night for our 3rd-5th grade students to participate in some fun Science activities and experiments. The registration form was sent home in your child's Communicator this past Tuesday and is due on Friday, November 17.

Holiday Shoppe

Our annual Holiday Shoppe will be held during school hours from December 4th-December 8th. Students will be able to bring money to school to purchase small, inexpensive gifts for the special people in their lives. This is a great way for them to learn the joy of giving this Holiday season. Please look for more information coming home in your child's Communicator soon!

Submit Pictures for the Yearbook

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school events, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.

Here is how you can submit photos online:
• Go to: https://images.schoolannualonline.com/login
• If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter username: 409613596
• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
• Click "Save Details".


****Please make sure that each photo has the classroom/teacher name or event included in the file name****

  • These photos will only be used by the Yearbook Staff for inclusion in the yearbook.
  • Not every photo submitted will be able to be included in the yearbook.

Help Wanted!


  • Yearbook- Our current Yearbook committee is looking for help with this year's Yearbook as well as someone to begin learning the website. The students love receiving the Yearbook each year and it is a great way to preserve memories from year to year. Reminder: all volunteers must fill out the Registration and Disclosure Statement and return it to the office. There are also copies available in the Vernfield office.
