Love Notes
Clara Love Elementary Staff Newsletter
Week of September 19-23
Clara Love Family,
Fall Conferences are beginning to approach, and I wanted to give you some information so you can begin to prepare.
- October 10th is a FLEX DAY. In order for you to have that day off, you will need to plan on staying on Tuesday, October 4th and Tuesday, October 11th until 7:00 pm.
- You may begin scheduling conferences now, but you may not hold any until at least September 28th.
- Parents must get a 30-minute conference period. That does not mean it needs to last that long, but be given the opportunity to meet with you for that long.
- Ideally, all conferences would need to be completed in October; however, please just make sure all conferences are completed before Thanksgiving Break.
- Student-led conferences are highly encouraged, but not required.
- Specifics about what needs to be shared at the conference will be covered at the Leadership Meeting on September 26th. Team leaders will pass along the information to the teams following the meeting.
- Departmentalized teachers may choose to conference together or separate as long as the decision is consistent on the team.
I know you are as doggone tired (or more) as I am as I type this, but I must say each and every bit of exhaustion is worth it. At the conclusion of a challenging week, we can all say we pulled together to make our school the very best place on the planet for our kids.
Now, I will go put my feet up! Enjoy your weekend!!!
Jaimie

Which browser?
Only use Internet Explorer for Teacher Access Center. Internet Explorer must also be the default browser.
I know you will hear that TAC will work well with Fire Fox or Chrome, but it will not. In most cases, you will not be able to login to TAC using Chrome. In Fire Fox, pages may not load correctly, and you will have issues (grades or attendance will not save, etc. Pages not loading correctly also occurs in Chrome. If Internet Explorer is not the default browser when working in TAC, you will see similar issues with pages not loading correctly.
